The Kenya Association of Stockbrokers and Investment Banks is an association that represents the interests of Kenyan stockbrokerage and investment banking companies.
It was initially founded as the Association of Kenya Stockbrokers (AKS) but later changed its name to KASIB in order to accommodate the interests and aspirations of investment banks that also operate as stockbrokers.
The eighteen members all have seats at the NSE and are holders of their respective licenses as stockbrokers or investment banks from the Capital Markets Authority which is the industry regulator. Its offices are located in the Nairobi Central Business District at City House along Standard Street.
As a leading player in the capital markets industry, KASIB plays a key role in ensuring that the grievances and aspirations of its members are addressed by facilitating forums and consultative meetings through which solutions can be found.
KASIB was established with the goal of upholding good practice and promoting high professional standards in the Kenyan stockbrokerage industry.
